This Privacy Policy describes how the Keep It app ("Keep It", "the app", "we", "our") handles your information. Keep It is a personal productivity app designed to help you capture tasks, reminders, notes, and ideas on your iPhone.

We take your privacy seriously. The app is designed so that your personal content stays on your device. We do not build profiles of individual users and we do not sell your data.

Information We Collect

Keep It does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.

The app uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous and pseudonymous usage data. This data helps us understand how the app is used, identify crashes, and improve performance and user experience. Firebase Analytics may collect:

  • App launches and session information
  • Screen views and feature interactions
  • Device model and type
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • System language and approximate region (country level)
  • Crash-related diagnostic information and session quality metrics
  • A pseudonymous app instance identifier generated by Firebase

This data is collected at the aggregate or pseudonymous level. We do not use it to identify you personally.

What We Do Not Collect

Keep It does not collect or transmit:

  • The content of your tasks, reminders, notes, tags, or boards — this content is stored locally on your device only
  • Your name, email address, or other contact information
  • Precise location data
  • Contacts, photos, or health data
  • Financial or payment information
  • Data used for advertising or behavioral profiling

How Your Content Is Stored

All user-created content — including tasks, reminders, notes, tags, boards, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage provided by iOS. This content is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.

If you back up your iPhone using iCloud Backup or iTunes, your app data may be included in that backup as part of the standard iOS backup process. This is governed by Apple's privacy policies, not ours.

Third-Party Services

Keep It uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC. Firebase Analytics collects usage and diagnostic data as described above. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services in the app. This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking services.

How We Use the Information

The analytics data collected through Firebase Analytics is used solely to:

  • Understand how the app is being used at an aggregate level
  • Identify and diagnose technical issues and crashes
  • Measure app performance and stability
  • Inform decisions about future improvements to the app

We do not use analytics data to identify individual users, serve advertising, or share information with data brokers.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not share analytics data with third parties for advertising purposes. Analytics data collected by Firebase is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from a government authority.

Data Retention

Analytics data collected by Firebase Analytics is retained according to Google's default retention settings. You can request deletion of your Firebase Analytics data by contacting us at keepit.app.support@gmail.com.

Children's Privacy

Keep It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

Data Linked to You: None.

Data Not Linked to You — the following data may be collected but is not linked to your identity:

  • Usage Data: information about how you interact with the app, such as feature usage and screen views
  • Diagnostics: crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information

Not a Medical App

Keep It is a general-purpose personal productivity app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not use it as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or mental health care.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
